Mission
Our Mission is to obey the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
The Great Commandment is expressed in Matthew 22:36-40:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it:
Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two
commandments. (NIV)
We believe that our neighbor is anyone whose life we are able to touch and that by loving
our neighbor we express our love for God.
The Great Commandment is seen in Matthew. 28:19-20:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age
(NIV).
We believe that disciples are made by winning people to Christ through an expression of
Gods love by friendship and the proclamation of the gospel. Once they have come to
Christ through faith, we encourage them to give testimony of their faith through
believers baptism. As we teach Gods Word on Sunday, in small groups during the
week and through whatever means we have at our disposal, these believers mature in their
spiritual life. Since we as a church cannot go to all nations we believe in supporting
missionaries or Christian workers who are able to go where we cannot go.
