OUR VISION:

We want to be a church committed to God and doing all He wants us to do. We believe we are to be a church of ministers. This does not mean a large professional staff but a church of people who have been equipped to serve. Those who have been reconciled to God have been given the ministry of reconciliation as seen in 2 Corinthians 5:17-19.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.  (NIV)

We see the role of the pastors as that of equipping the people in the church to be ministers. We believe this is God’s intention as explained in Ephesians 4:11-13.

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

We recognize that the task of equipping has many variables. Not all have the same gifts and thus not all will have the same ministry. Also people in the church have different levels of spiritual maturity. Therefore, we accept people as they are in order that they may become what God wants them to be. Even as people are maturing and growing in their spiritual life we encourage them to minister.
